Have You Seen My Pink Board?

This board is the most incredible board I've ever ridden.  It feels so good to have a MAGIC board!
Sadly, during that big swell on Thursday, the board's tail got ripped off at the tip and the leash indented the inner butt crack!  No bueno.  I was really bummed.  But I temporarily fixed it so I can surf some more. YAY ... get in the water!

Remembrance of Carlos

A beautiful quote from Oscar Montejo, Carlos' brother after he spread the ashes in Miami:
"What a beautiful evening. Now you are part of the waters that saved you, that loved you, that baptized the very essence of your soul. You loved it back in so many ways. May the waters enjoy your presence and all your family get many waves and enjoyment with your guidance. My journey is done my brother. As I've said before and I'll say again and I quote, 'I have seen angels, dressed as ordinary people. You loved and were loved. What an honor to call you my brother.' Thank you all once again. See you all soon...Peace be with all of you!"

Updates

SEAHAB WORLD!
Life has been so busy lately that I haven't had time to write.
Good to see friends this weekend!
Happy Birthday to my girl, Khloud.  Love you like a sister!
I have been surfing though and yesterday was very small but fun.  I even got to try out a 9'6" supertanker longboard.
My pink board is severely dinged so I need to fix it todayyyyy.
Let's do this.

Cool Cats Hang Here

Today I adopted two beautiful Bengal cats named Coda & Chaise that Carlos had for about 6 years.  They are incredible, very friendly, and loveable.  So stoked to have them in my life as I miss Carlos very much.   They will remind me to live everyday to the fullest, surf every day and never forget to say you love your friends.  XOXO

Swell Recap

Commentary from Surfline.
http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/big-pacific-south-swell_59237/

To put it quite bluntly: this was probably the most solid Southern Hemisphere swell we've had along the entire Pacific West Coast since April 2004. In fact, locals in Tahiti thought this was the biggest swell there in 30 years...or at least since the July 1996 storm that also washed out roads near Teahupo'o.

We've had other memorable swells that were more limited to certain areas, like the June 2006 swell that gave us all-time waves for the ASP Search event in Mexico; or the July 2009 south swell that arrived during the US Open at Huntington; and Newport's Wedge was even bigger on a couple other swells this year. But for large-scale swells that ignited great waves throughout the entire Pacific, this late-August
storm off Antarctica is right up there with the all-time best.
