Surfed a not-so-secret south San Diego county beach break this morning. Great size and power!! Stoked to have big waves. Offshore winds, way over head high on the sets. Wish they would stay. Tonight we grilled up freshly caught La Jolla halibut weighing 24 lbs and 36 inches long! Speared it with zucchini, onions, and pineapple then grilled. Made special baby terydactyle margaritas with tequila, fresh lemon juice, and ginger ale. Strawberries dipped in chocolate to top it all off! Delishhhhhhh x 1000000000!
Here's the prized halibut. They're ugly but they sure do taste GOOD.
Check out this gnarley event going on in our city!! Newport Beach thinks they can cut full-time lifeguards to save some $$. Super lame. Please support our heroic lifeguards. We appreciate their work very much. Plus the summer months are arriving and so are the tourists.
My friend Tom Laveuf just ordered a new board from a friend, Dennis Kane, of DK surfboards. Tom took some incredible photos of DK shaping. To check out DK's work: http://www.dksurfboards.com/index.html
SEAHAB is heading to COSTA RICA for an entire month. Check us out during July for great adventures, surf, and fishing. Super stoked, we just bought our tickets last night. We could hardly sleep. Can't wait to surf in WARM water.
Here's the LOVER all glassed and beautiful. I love the pink. So stoked I mixed the correct amounts of red and magenta together. 4oz on bottom, wrapped rails and 4 oz deck patch. 4 oz clear over the deck and wrapping the rails ready to hotcoat, sand, fin boxes, pin lines, gloss, sand, polish
here are all the swatches of pink testing. Looks like a lipstick display.
