Pretty in Pink!

  Had lots of fun yesterday sanding & putting in my finboxes.  Check out the sweet quad set up. I love quads, they seem to work amazingly with my style.  If you've never ridden a quad, you should really consider it. 

 Cut da fins out with da handy templates! 

Sanded off all the grubbes & now ready for polish!!

Baby Handplane in Action!

Af took the baby handplane out yesterday somewhere with macking punchy beachbreak barrels deep in SD county!
He reported having the time of his life while getting thrashed.
Handplanes mean business! Watch out for dem guys!
The set-up looks great: HD Go Pro mounted to the 14" baby handplane. Slotted in barrels only the best can achieve. LOVE this footage. Only more to come. Addiction.

Bird Shed Movie

Went to Bird's Surf Shed in San Diego on Sunday for a surf flick called Manufacturing Stoke. I was in awe for the entire time and my eyes never became tired because hundreds of boards lined the walls and ceiling. He's got an incredible collection!! Also, I met up with a new friend, Ed from Enjoy Handplanes. Enjoy Handplanes Was very stoked to meet one of the people behind Enjoy because I was inspired to make a hand plane last Winter.

San O Camping!

Went camping at San O this weekend with my Sways friends.
And to top it all off, we had a siiiick South swell that occupied most of my time.
Great times, amazing food and drinks. Love talking surf and surfboards.
Outdoor cooking is one of my strengths! Af's swordfish was bomb.
Found this beautiful rock & we took it home.

The little pink surfboard is coming of age.
Hotcoated it yesterday, looking fresh! No problems, went on smoothly despite the wet weather.
Each day I become more and more stoked about it-- yah know, you just can't WAIT to ride it.

This weekend was the ultimate. Couldn't have asked for more.

We Won!

Last night was the final deciding night for the Froghouse's livelihood. Over 100 supporters showed up at the small City Commerce chambers to show support. It was great to see everyone who cared so much. The council voted unanimously. And we won!!
So stoked.

Yoga baby!

The waves have been a little small but fun lately but today we've got a bit of eddy so I opted out of a surf and went to Bikram yoga.
Although I practice yoga almost every day at home, there's something about attending a hot yoga class. There's muscles throughout the body that you would never know you had! It helps immensely with surfing. My goal is to become an instructor once I have a little time to take the certification class.

Still thinking about the past weekend--had a beautiful mother's day. We made these delicious fresh blueberry pancakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, and of course mimosas!!

This Saturday is my birthday!! Over the hill, that's for sure. Haha.
So stay tuned for a wild celebration. As for now, dream of Mexico....

Water-Time

Been surfing a lot lately & yesterday we trekked out to da kelp in La Jolla.
Af caught 4 Calicos -- I caught nothing but a tan.
Our friend Duane caught a 39 lb. Yellowtail! Stoked!!
Happy to be out on the water.
